Time-less
No time now to wander thinking Or thinking, wonder about the time. ( it is getting late, it is getting late, it is getting, later ) What is a man to crawl between the sun and earth, neither asleep nor awake But bound by daily chains: His liver eaten out by dishcloths & dustbins, with the chickens pecking in the yard: It is getting late. The sun is falling behind a cloud as it falls through the earth, and emerges on the other end - in day. There is a woman in the house Lost without thought as she climbs the stairs to bed Parched as the washing on the line - ( what about those red socks with cross-stitched hearts? ) - nothing to do - at last - But it is too late, now, to wait. The moon has risen, The ghosts are frolicking in the yard.

Those cross-stitched hearts, and frolicking ghosts really got me ❤️ beautiful, haunting, and unique
